Aug 16, 2009 San Francisco.
Regina Burton and her daughter Rebecca both of Brisbane, Australia met with Daniel Klionsky's family for breakfast. Daniel Klionsky is the webmaster of this site.

The meeting took place in a French Bakery "La Boulange"   at Fillmore street located in San Francisco's Pacific Hights neighborhood.

Regina's great grandfather Osher Klionsky (1860s?-1930s?) and Daniel's great grandfather Girsha Klionsky (1860s?-1930s?) both lived in Borisov, Russia on the turn of 20th century and probably were first cousisns.

Osher's son and Regina's grandfather Tobias/Tuvia-Efraim Klionsky (1888-1958) moved from Russia to Buenos Aires, Argentina, while Girsha's son and Daniel's grandfather Don Klionsky (1888-1954) moved to Baku, Azerbaidjan. Interestingly, there is  a striking resemlance between picture portraits of Tobias Klionsky and Don Klionsky considering they were not brothers.

Regina's mother Cecilia (Klionsky) Goldbarth (b. 1922) was brought up in Argentina, got married in 1944 and several years later Regina Burton, her only daughter, was born.  In 1960 when Regina was 6 years old her family left Argentina for Australia .

Regina works as a customer service manager at home improvement store chain and Rebecca is a photographer. While on this trip, besides San Francisco Burtons visited LA and NY.

It was the first time US visit for Regina and third one for Rebecca.
