November 1, 2009 : Daniel Klionsky, his wife Alla, and their daughter Alexandra joined a number of descendants of Samuel Morton Klion for brunch at Emily Klion and George Brooks`s house in Berkeley, following the bar mitzvah of their son Misha the previous day.
Along with Misha`s sister Laelena Brooks and brother Toby Brooks, at the brunch were Emily`s mother Janet Klion and her friend Bob Weinberg (from Greenwich, CT), Emily`s sisters Cathy Klion (from Chevy Chase, MD) and Jenny Klion and her daughter Eve Cosper (from New York, NY), Misha`s great-uncle Bart Klion and his wife Barbara (from Ardsley, NY) and their grandson Bennett Klion (from Port Washington, NY), and many other relatives and friends.
Misha is an eighth grader at Martin Luther King Middle School in Berkeley. At the bar mitzvah party, Bart gave Misha the secret handshake he shared with his brother Stanley and that he has given to each of his and Stanley`s grandchildren at his or her bar/ bat mitzvah
